11/12/2017- 15/12/2017 On this week I completed one lesson plan and it was an activity model. I displayed the plot development of " The Last Leaf" using PowerPoint presentation and it was very effective. On the second day, I revised the whole portion for second terminal examination and discussed some previous model questions.  The exam started on 13th December. 

4/12/2017- 8/12/2017 In this week, I continued the lesson "The Last Leaf" and completed it. Students got clear idea about all the characters and theme of the story. So on the third day, I conducted a role play based on the argument between Sue and Johnsy about the last leaf and death. The students were abled to manage their roles and executed their dialogues brilliantly. It helped them to form a clear idea about the story. Moreover, I took one activity model lesson and through which they got the idea how to prepare a comic strip. I completed five lesson plans. It was a wonderful week and I got the opportunity to observe my peer's class and which helped to improve myself. I used PowerPoint presentation during these days for making my class better.

27/11/2017- 1/12/2017    Third week gifted me a lot of memorable experiences. I started the new lesson "The Last Leaf" by O. Henry. It is a short story set in Greenwich village and it depicts characters and themes typical of O. Henry's works.    I took part in remedial classes for the students of ninth standard. I provided essential guidance for them. It was a different experience for me and helped to learn how to organise remedial class. I provided them essential guidance for the betterment of their learning. It was the most challenging situation for me after i started our third spell of teaching. I got opportunity to observe my Peer's class also.  On the second day of this week, I conducted a diagnostic test when I got a substitution period. 

20/11/2017- 24/11/201 7      The second week was a spectacular one. As it was the second week, i got much more chances to mingle with the students and teachers of the respective school. Moreover, it strenghthened the bond between me and the students.           I finished five lesson plans in this week. The lessons completed were "The Jungle Air Crash" by Juliane Koepcke and "Another Chance" by Helen Steiner. The second one was a short poem which brims with optimism and positive spirit. Infact, this inspirational poem revived students' spirit. In addition to my regualr classes, i took part in peer observation classes and substitution hours. On the whole, this week helped to blot out my mistakes and ameliorate my teaching skills.

13/11/2017 - 17/11/2017       "One child, One teacher, One book, One pen can change the world" -  Malala Yousufzai            As part of our B.Ed curriculum, our 4th semester teaching practice started on 13/11/2017 at MKLMHSS Kannanalloor. We completed one week of teaching practice. I got the class 9 J. The students of 9 J were very co operative. I completed my five lesson plans in this week. I took the lesson "The Jungle Air Crash" by Juliane Koepcke which is an extract taken from her memoir "When I Fell from the Sky". It descibes the miraculous escape of Juliane from a plane crash.          I got a different class for my  Fourth semester teaching practice. So the students in 9 J were new to me. As part of B.Ed curriculum, the trainees are expected to do an innovative work. So I have taken the topic " Modal Verbs" inorder to familiarise the topic with the students. I named the work as " Aladdin in Modal Land." A modal verb is a verb that is usually used with another verb to express ideas such as possibility, necessity and permission. It gives information about the function of main verb that it governs. Modals have a wide variety of communicative functions. Through Walt Disney's characters like Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Genie and their journey in Modal land, I described important ideas about Modals. This work aimed to make students aware of different forms of modals, their meaning and usage. The ideas and pictures are arranged in such a way to grab the students's attention and there by generate more interest in grammar.
